Electric Dreams | UE5 GDC 2023

I had the utter pleasure to work on and present this years UE5 tech demo for GDC 2023 alongside an absolutely kickass team!

My main tasks involved grayboxing of the playable spaces and set dressing the environment.
Due to the particular challenges of the demo I was further tasked with technical work involving shader setup, texture calibration / lookdev, content and Houdini RnD (massive thanks to Robert Osborne in particular without whom the atlas-to-poly remesh pipeline would have never seen the light of day) and on-stage demo duties.

Curious to enter the jungle? You can grab the Electric Dreams sample project right here on the official UE Marketplace and dive in yourself: https://unrealengine.com/marketplace/product/electric-dreams-env

I can't possibly mention any of my work done here without also mentioning the amazing colleagues, friends and industry legends I got to work with for this demo. Every single pixel is the result of an incredible team effort:
